We can all use a little dose of "kindness, inspiration, gentleness, and love." In fact, sharing and spreading these four things are the goal of a blog I discovered today.
In my life, I love the challenge (and boy is it a challenge) of being kind. I often succeed at being kind to strangers or neighbors or friends. The real stretch is to ask, "Am I kind to my pets, my children, my closest friend and buddy, my husband?" Is kindness a front, or a heartfelt gift? Discipline and training often seem to butt heads with kindness. I bet there's a way to make them hold hands, instead. Perhaps kindness can be found in quiet whispers, gentle touches, an encouraging look. My heart thinks that these expressions may be harder to remember than a day full of scowls and forceful words. Tomorrow would be a good day to start being kinder, to myself and to those closest to me. If I want to receive kindness (and I do!), I must breathe and then give it away.
Here's the inspirational blog I found. There's a free e-book of inspiration you can download here. And here's a look at the homepage, I'm digging the design.
