As a graphic design student embarking on a new career, I had great aspirations of what I wanted to do with my art. It needed to promote change in the world or call people to change themselves. Well, as I looked for a job, I found that the reality is not always as exciting as the dream. Yes, I created work I believed in and sometimes even for a good cause. But retracing too many logos and resizing images for hours on end is not very gratifying. In the process of it all, I've come full circle. Specifically, I just finished several pieces for Crisis Assistance Ministries' WISH Program. Here is a billboard I drew for Crisis Assistance almost a decade ago as student work. The new work is posted here, also. It's so cool to see growth over the years, but also to recognize the underlying principles and dreams still remain.
